“ A friend of mine and I visited last night for a quick sip and a few hors d’oeuvres. We tried the most incredible sweet potato hush puppies! They were the perfect mix of sweet, salty, crunchy and melt in your mouth delicious! We also had the feta dip with focaccia, which was really good too. The cocktails were very creative and delicious and I also enjoyed the wine. The atmosphere is open, friendly, and not too noisy. Super cool place! We greatly enjoyed our time and talking to staff as well. ”

“ Excellent venue for a well prepared meal, and top flight service. Short rib pot pie was so elegantly prepared (loved the leeks in it). In-house freshly made pasta was absolutely delicious. Fantastic drink selection for all kinds (cocktails, beer/wine, NA selections, etc.). We sat outside, as we had our furry family member, but the inside was very well appointed. Absolutely beautiful bar as you walk in. ”

“ An absolutely heavenly evening! We celebrated our wedding anniversary here after hearing it was the most recommended spot in town — and wow, it exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and seated by the kindest, most genuine server we’ve ever had (truly the best customer service experience of our lives- thanks Cowan!). The food? Divine! We started with the bread and butter — hands down the best we’ve ever had — followed by the bolognese and the dry-aged ribeye, both absolute perfection. We couldn’t resist taking the chocolate cake to go, and even before tasting it, I couldn’t wait to write this review. HenDo’s best dinner spot, without a doubt! Every detail made the evening feel special, memorable, and downright delicious. We’ll be dreaming about this meal for a long time!! ”

“ Passing through from Florida to Kentucky. Found this gem on an overnight stay in Hendersonville, NC. Had the Radicchio Salad, steamed clams in a broth of celery root, fennel and togarashi, and the dry aged beef tagliatelle. Lastly, the lemon curd cheesecake. All outstanding! Cohen did a marvelous job of guiding us through the menu and taking care of us. Highly recommend Claywood! ”

“ OMG! Our first experience was outstanding. Server was attentive and cordial. The Short Rib Pot Pie was an excellent entree. The mushroom Hand Pie was a tasty appetizer. No doubt this will be high on our recommended restaurants in Hendersonville. ”

“ We really enjoyed our first visit to Claywood. The decor and atmosphere are top-notch, with beautiful wooden beams, brick walls with cool horse photos, comfy sofas and big soft chairs at the dining tables, a large, beautiful, well-appointed bar, and an overall trendy feel. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Prices are such that it's likely to be more suitable for special occasions or occasional splurges than a weeknight dinner out. They have large dish options for the table to share, and we struggled to identify multiple entrees on the menu that excited us. We were going to order the 30 oz ribeye for the table of five to share, but they ran out before we ordered. We enjoyed a nice whole fish that served the whole table, as well as the pappardelle pasta entree, and some small plates. Our favorite small plates were the delicious onion tart and Italian flatbread. The coil link sausage was pretty good but not as loved as the other two small plates. The chocolate cake with cherries was delicious and enjoyed by all. We had a reservation at 8:00, which is around the closing time of many places in town, so we're pleased that it doesn't close as early as most. ”

“ Spent my Wedding anniversary here. Truly some of the best fine dining service and food / cocktails I have ever had in an upscale resteraunt . I wouldn’t change a thing. The cocktails were beautiful crafted and tasted soooooo good. The food was to die for. Our server Holly was so kind and truly a beautiful soul. Thank you for a much needed night out. Will come back anytime we’re in town!! Pictured was their bolognese. ”

“ We love every experience here! We often sit at the bar where you don’t need reservations and where you can get the the full dining menu and have great conversation with the awesome bar staff. The food is exquisite and the drinks are stellar. The atmosphere here is also one of our favorites in all of the greater Hendersonville and Asheville area! Women owned. ”
